Xiaomi has launched a new budget segment smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 9A on 30th June 2020. It comes in two variants of 2GB and 3GB RAM with 32 GB Storage at a price point of Rs 6,799* and Rs 7,499*, which is decent at this price point it comes in 3 eye-soothing colors - Sea Blue, Nature Green, and Midnight Black. Xiaomi's Redmi 9A is its cheapest smartphone you can buy now and also comes with some surprising features as it loaded with a massive battery of 5000 mAh, it also got MediaTek's Helio G25 an octa-core processor which is more than enough for this price and also gives a smooth performance for gaming, OS and other purposes.

Redmi 9A Design

The new Xiaomi's Redmi 9A comes with a 6.53 (inch) HD+ IPS display and with a waterdrop notch at the top center which will house the front camera, the rear panel of the phone will feature a Rear camera including LED Flash at the left corner. It got a decent texture at back and comes in 3 colors Sea Blue, Nature Green, and Midnight Black. It has a very slim body design of dimensions 164.90 x 77.07 x 9.00and a weight of 194 g. It has an Aura 360 designwhich offers an additional grip and maintains a premium look with an easy- to - hold hand design.

Redmi 9A Performance

In performance, it is loaded with MediaTek's Helio G25 2GHz octa-core processor which gives a little more than decent performance in every aspect like gaming, web browsing, smooth os, fewer frame drops. MediaTek's Helio G25 offers a high-performance smooth seamless smartphone experience like in browsing, messaging, and video calling. in gaming, it is based on HyperEngine Game Technology which ensures that the user's game loads fast and will get smooth gameplay every time. It provides intelligent resource management that ensures sustained performance and longer gameplay. The G25 provides fast and fun gaming experiences from its combination of octa-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU operating up to 2GHz plus IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU with speeds of up to 650MHz.It has a great optimization between performance and power efficiency. This processor also provides a decent 30 FPS at 1080p on video playback which is good at this price point.

Redmi 9A Battery and Camera

Xiaomi has surprised everybody with the battery provided in the phone at this price point, The Redmi 9A has loaded with a battery of 5000 mAH with great battery optimization, Xiaomi claims the battery life to give 11 hours of continuous gaming,25.5 hour of video streaming, 31 hours of calls,162 hours of music. Xiaomi claims that The battery has a charge cycle count as high as 1000, meaning that the phone can be used daily for more than 2.5 years without any notable degradation to the battery. Xiaomi also provides a Rear Camera of 13MP and a Front Camera of 5MP which can click quite nice photos if provided enough light which is decent for this price point.

Redmi 9A OS, and Connectivity

The Redmi 9A comes with MIUI 12 and Android 10. Redmi 9A has good optimization in every aspect of MIUI 12, Android 10 with the hardware. Xiaomi focused its attention on optimization and tweaking the overall look of the UI. As a result, animations are smoother, visual elements are more modern, and the interface as a whole looks much more cohesive. One of the new UI changes in MIUI 12 is the addition of a new Control Center. The design and usability are identical to iOS, but at least here you get the option to change the layout of the quick settings tiles. Because it takes up so much room, notifications are now bundled into their own pane. As you may have guessed from the name, it is very similar to how the Control Center works in iOS. You pull down from anywhere on the home screen, and you get a grid of toggles, brightness slider, and options for toggling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular data. It supports 2.4G WIFI, Bluetooth 5.0, FM and has a MicroUSB, Headphone 3.5mm, two sim slots, and a Dedicated MicroSD Slot.

Redmi 9A 's other Specifications

• Redmi 9A does nothave a fingerprint scanner but is equipped with an AI Face Unlock feature.
• Redmi 9A is protected with P2i nano-coating which protects it from everyday water spills.

Verdict

So, here is my opinion, Xiaomi has done quite a nice job with providing such specifications at this price point as MediaTek'sHelio G25, 13MP + 5MP Rear and Front camera configurations with a massive battery of 5000 mAh, and on top of all these a stable optimization. If I talk about specifications and all, Xiaomi has done great work even in providing great performance and optimization in all criteria.
