Xiaomi has launched Redmi 9 Power on December 17th, 2020, in the market, promising an incredible design and high-performance that supports Dual Nano SIM Cards. The Redmi 9 Power is available in the most classy color options like Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Electric Green, Fiery Red, which gives an amazing experience to the fans of Xiaomi smartphone.

Redmi 9 Power Design

The Redmi 9 Power Smartphone launched by Xiaomi sports a 6.53-inch IPS FHD+ display with a 48MP AI quad-camera set up delivering sharp detailed and high quality image on a wider aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone packs a huge 6000mAh battery with Type-C 22.5W fast-charger( in-box ) support which helps you to enjoy the tasks and entertainment all day. The Ultra battery saver mode ensures improved battery lifespan. This version of the Xiaomi smartphone only weighs 198.0g. The Dual SIM card slot is positioned on the left side of the device, which allows the user to use two Nano-SIM cards of the different network along with the micro-SD card slot which provides expandable storage space of up to 512 GB. The device supports dual SIM VoLTE HD calling too. The power button and the volume button are positioned on the right which is easy to reach, The power button has an integrated side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Besides the available flashy colors, the backside of the phone has a textured finish with a big Redmi logo plastered on one side, which makes it resistant to fingerprints, and a rectangular-shaped camera module on the other side, that has slightly bulged from the back panel. The body of the phone is curved on the sides which makes it easy to hold with a flat top and bottom. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top along with the IR emitter. It has a screen contrast ratio of 1500:1 and 84% NTSC(type) display and a peak brightness of 400nits. The device has got TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification which means with the reduced blue light you don't have to put so much strain on your eyes. AI face unlocks and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner gives quick access to the phone.

The Redmi 9 Power operates on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 662 and 11nm high-performance and low power consumption octa-core processor, that includes Qualcomm® Kryo™ 260 clocked at up to 2.2GHz high performing CPU resulting in lower heat dissipation. The device runs on Android 10 and MIUI 12. The Adreno™ 618 GPU and a high-speed processor allow high-graphic games features and quite well gaming experience to the user on the phone. This smartphone supports 4GB RAM with UFS storage in two variants 64GB and 128GB. The device does have micro-SD card support with expandable storage of up to 512GB.

The phone has a slightly protrude vertical camera set up at the rear side containing four cameras with face detection autofocus. With a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, the device has a 48MP Quad Camera Array set up at the back with a 48MP primary camera allows the user to capture beautiful and stunning shots with sharp details. The 8MP with 120° FOV Ultra Wide-angle camera delivers a wider field of view to the user but with little edge distortion. With the 2MP macro camera, you can capture a closer image of an object with good sharp details. Lastly, the 2MP depth-camera allows the user to get nice depth in every shot and it also differentiates nicely between the subject and the background by delivering really nice photographs of the subject with proper blurred background. The Portrait Mode with AI beautification really delivers nice, bright, and good edge detection images with a 2MP macro camera except for the low-light image. The low-light image with Night Mode enabled though gives better image quality with the 2MP macro camera. If we talk about the quality of the image with the main camera in low-light, I must say it does give a fair enough image quality. Talking about the video recording features of the device, the rear camera at the back supports up to 1080P video recording with good and little stable videos taken in daylight. There might be some instability taking videos in motion, but besides this, the overall camera performance is quite well.

The in-display 8MP Selfie camera allows taking decent selfies with various camera modes enabled . The enabled AI mode is used to enhance the colors of the Portrait images and turning those images into more bright and decent photographs. The 8MP Selfie Camera housed in the dewdrop notch of the phone also supports decent edge detection portrait images. You are also provided with various camera modes and features like Movie frame, Time-Lapse, Color Focus, and more.

The Redmi 9 Power packs a huge battery of 6000mAh that delivers up to 14 hours of gaming time. The device also runs for 10hr while doing video recording. The phone includes a USB Type-C 18W fast-charging adapter that gives a high-performance charging experience to the user. It also supports reverse charging. The phone supports a dual Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth 5.0, and stereo speaker. The stereo speaker with Hi-Res Audio certification allows an amazing sound quality while gaming, listening to music, video calling. The phone includes USB Type-C-Cable and provides a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.
